USHS cross country runners Evan Hinesman finished 93rd (17:28) and Ashton Vent finished 112th (17:42) at the state cross country meet in a windy and physical race at Fortress Obetz. Both runners finished in the top 120 Division II runners in the state of Ohio.

Upper Sandusky High School Accounting Class is teaming up with Kimmel Cleaners for a COATS FOR CHRISTMAS DRIVE again this holiday season. Good luck to USHS cross country runners Ashton Vent and Evan Hinesman who will be competing in the OHSAA D-II State Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 5th, 1:00 p.m. at Fortress Obetz. The USHS team bus will be leaving the USHS athletic complex on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to head to Columbus. Community members, staff, students and friends are welcome to arrive around 8:45 a.m. to give them a "send off" and wish them good luck as they head to the state meet.

Congratulations to USHS runners Ashton Vent and Evan Hinesman on qualifying for the state cross country meet. Ashton finished 3rd (16:21) and Evan finished 14th (16:42) at the regional meet at Hedges-Boyer Park in Tiffin on Saturday.
The OHSAA Division II Boys Cross Country Championship will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 1:00 p.m. at Fortress Obetz and Memorial Park. Tickets will only be available online at ohass.org/tickets. No cash will be accepted at the gate.

Kindergarten learned a new song called Pumpkin Bones! Why oh why is it so popular? Well, because it is the same tune as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but in a minor key!

All Kindergarten and First grade students should report to their classrooms on 12/6/22 at 6:15 p.m. The kindergarten and first grade program starts at 6:30. All second and third grade students should report to their room at 6:45 p.m. The second and third grade show starts at 7:00 pm. We will have one Full Dress Rehearsal. It is at 8:15 a.m. in the gymnasium. We want to highly encourage Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles etc. to attend this dress rehearsal, if possible, as the evening performance is quite crowded! The parking is also better during the day!
All Kindergarten and first grade students are to dress up. No Jeans allowed. All second and third grade students will receive an additional letter home that instructs students on what they are to wear for their program titled “Forty Winks Until Christmas”!

Michele Houts, an Ohio author, will be coming to Union School on Thursday, November 17th to share her books with our elementary students. She will also be at the Upper Sandusky Community Library for families to meet her and here about her author journey. You can purchase books in advance and have them signed for her visit. Pie Sales for Union Elementary are currently going on. Hurry! The last day to turn in the forms is next Wednesday, Oct. 26th. Checks can be written out to Union Elementary School. Pies will be delivered on Nov. 16th, just in time for Thanksgiving! You can call the school to order if you don't have a student that has asked you to buy one!
